Piano Book:
This contains all three Music and the Brain Books in a 3-ring binder with tabs.
Teacher's Manual For Book One:
This book gives explanations of and lesson plans for all 43 songs. Available in English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Hebrew.
Teachers Manual for Book Two:
Available in draft form.
MATB CD Binder: Song and Rhythm Recordings
CD 1: All the songs sung acapella and with piano, and played solo piano.
Book Two 2 CD set:
All the songs sung acapella and with piano, and played solo piano. (All at a
normal and also slow speed with a click track).
Book Three 4 CD set:
All the songs sung acapella and with piano, and played solo piano. (All at a normal and also slow speed with a click track).
Rhythm
18 CD set:
The 18 CD set includes CDs for rhythms in 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 4/4 with triplets, 3/4
with triplets, 4/4 with syncopation and 4/4 with 16th notes. On these there are
individual tracks which correspond to each rhythm card (presented in several
different ways and played on many different percussion instruments). There are
also CDs with longer tracks that encompass all the rhythms in a given set of
cards, presented instrumentally and vocally. Finally there are CDs with groove
tracks to serve as a background during rhythmic training in class.
Additional MATB Materials
Set of 147 Rhythm Cards:
These include 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, 6/8, triplets, syncopations, 16th notes in 4/4, and individual notes in the bass and treble (quarter, half, whole and eighth). The cards are 8 1/2 X 11 or 8 1/2 X 14 and are very strong and heavily laminated.
Set of 171 Theory Papers:
Theory papers are music worksheets that give students a chance two work on their understanding of music concepts and keyboard skills. These worksheets include papers for: keyboards, directionality, lines & spaces, skip step & repetition, practice drawing notes, identification of notes and rests, treble and bass notes names, notes on the grand staff, stems, beats per measure, math and composition. These are printed on extra heavy paper (one side only) and presented in a wide, 3-ring binder (to allow for additional papers) with tabs.
Set of 30 (8.5. X 14.) laminated keyboard cards:
Strongly laminated 8 ½" X 14" cards for use
away from the piano. One side has a
keyboard and the other a drawing of the left and right hands with finger
numbers. Quantities ordered are dependent
on the number of students. It is recommended that each student have their own
card.
Set of 10 Red and Yellow laminated note name cards:
Music and the Brain associates the color Red for “right hand” and Yellow for “lemon left hand”. We created dual sided laminated cards for left and right hand that associate fingers 1,2,3,4,and 5 with notes C,D,E,F, and G for the red right hand, and notes C,B,A,G,F in the lemon left hand.
